Cooper studied fine arts in the DAAP program and is a registered oncology nurse. She has over 11 years of experience. This includes, chemotherapy administration, surgical oncology nursing and caring for those in the inpatient hospital setting. She has always had a special interest in helping people in their breast cancer journey.
Cooper trained at the Sauler Institute of Tattooing and is now a certified restorative tattoo artist. As a restorative tattoo artist, she helps restore areola pigmentation and create 3D nipple tattoos post mastectomy/reconstructive surgery.
This can be subjective based on healing however, it is recommended at least 12 weeks after your final surgery.
There is no recovery time. You will have a clear, waterproof bandage over the tattoos for 72 hrs.
No. There are seven layers of skin between the tattoo needles and your implant. The tattoo needle only goes as deep as the third layer, making it impossible to rupture.
Yes and no. Most people who have had reconstructive surgery have very little sensation or feeling in their breasts. If sensation is there, I do provide numbing agents for your comfort as needed.
No. Restore is an out of network provider, however this procedure is part of the reconstruction process and is reimbursable. I will provide you with a letter of medical necessity to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
